Automatiqa Lab

Terms of Service - Automatiqa Lab

Terms of service for Automatiqa Lab, operated by Aleks Sidorecs. Use of the site, automated access and crawling, intellectual property, and Swiss governing law.

1. Scope

These terms govern use of www.automatiqa.io and notebook.automatiqa.io ("the site"), operated by Aleks Sidorecs, Switzerland ("I", "me"), and any services agreed separately in writing.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.

2. What This Site Is

Automatiqa Lab is a personal lab. It publishes writing, open-source tools and working notebooks on operations and applied AI. Most of the code referenced here is released under open-source licences, and each repository's own licence governs its use - not this page.

Where consulting or advisory work is agreed, its scope, deliverables, timeline and fees are set out in a separate written agreement. Sections 5 to 8 and 11 apply only where such an agreement exists.

3. Reading, Quoting and Machine Access

You are welcome to read, quote and link to anything published here, with attribution.

Automated access is permitted. Crawling, indexing and retrieval by search engines and AI systems is expressly allowed within the limits set by each host's robots.txt, and the machine-readable summary at /llms.txt describes what is available and how to attribute it. Those two files, not this page, are the operative statement of what automated clients may do. Excessive request rates that degrade the service for others are the one exception.

Republishing whole articles as your own, or presenting this work as originating elsewhere, is not permitted.

4. Intellectual Property

Unless a repository or page states otherwise, the following remain mine:

  • Written content, including articles, notebooks and figures
  • Generic components, libraries and templates used across projects
  • Site branding and design

Open-source repositories are governed by the licence file each one carries. Where work is delivered under a separate client agreement, that agreement sets out the licence granted.

5. Confidentiality

Where an engagement exists, both parties keep confidential any proprietary information shared during it. This obligation survives termination by 2 years. The usual exceptions apply: information that is public, independently developed, or must be disclosed by law.

6. Payment Terms

Unless agreed otherwise in writing:

  • Invoices are payable within 30 days of issue
  • Prices are in CHF and exclude VAT where applicable
  • Late payment carries interest at 5% per annum (Art. 104 OR)

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent Swiss law permits:

  • My total liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim
  • I am not liable for indirect, consequential or incidental damages
  • I am not liable for loss of data, revenue or profits

Nothing here excludes liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct (Art. 100 OR).

8. Warranties and Disclaimers

Agreed services are delivered with professional care and skill. Beyond that:

  • The site and everything published on it is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed
  • Published work describes what I have built and observed; it is not professional advice for your situation
  • AI-generated output is a tool, not a substitute for professional judgement
  • No specific business outcome is guaranteed

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the site for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure
  • Interfere with the site's operation, including through request volumes that degrade it for others
  • Subscribe to the newsletter using an address that is not yours

10. Termination

Either party may end an engagement on 14 days' written notice. On termination, work completed to that date is payable, completed deliverables are handed over, and confidentiality continues for 2 years.

11. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government action or infrastructure failure.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Swiss law governs these terms. Disputes are submitted to the competent courts at my domicile in Switzerland.

For consumers resident in the EU/EEA, the mandatory consumer protection rules of their country of residence continue to apply.

13. Severability

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
